- Carefully drill a pilot hole using a No. 8 masonry drill bit from the top surface of the sink. Note: Drill only one small hole initially.
- Gradually enlarge the hole to the desired size by tapping the centre punch with a hammer, ensuring careful and precise adjustments.
What is Tectonite?
Tectonite is an advanced material used in Franke sinks, offering exceptional durability and aesthetic appeal. It is crafted through a meticulous process involving a combination of three key elements:
-
SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound): This is a glass fibre, polyester-based carrier material that forms the foundation of Tectonite sinks. It provides structural integrity and strength to the sink.
-
Chemically fused 3rd Generation PiMC (Powder In Mould Coating): This innovative coating gives Tectonite sinks their distinctive features. It provides the sink with its colour, as well as imbuing it with heat resistance, scratch resistance, and resistance to wear and tear. This coating ensures that Tectonite sinks maintain their pristine appearance even after years of use.
-
Unique Texture: Tectonite sinks boast a unique texture that mimics the natural look of granite. This texture adds visual interest and elegance to the sink, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the kitchen.
