How long does a Zip HydroTap last?
The average lifespan of the Zip Hydrotap is around 8 to 10 years. After this time, it may not be cost effective to repair rather than replace the unit with a new one.
Do Zip HydroTaps use a lot of electricity?
Zip Taps are 95% efficient at turning electricity into boiling water, making it much cheaper to run than boiling a kettle. Zip taps also create no water waste and the water being dispensed in filtered every time for a cleaner taste and more hygienic water.
Do Zip HydroTaps need ventilation?
Proper air circulation must be provided for all models. The system will operate correctly only if the recommended air gaps are achieved during installation. IMPORTANT: Allow a minimum clearance envelope of 50mm (2”) either side, and 200mm (8”) above the Command Center.
How often do you need to replace a Zip HydroTap filter?
A Zip water filter will last anywhere between 6 and 12 months. However, keep in mind that the expiration date will also depend on how heavy or light your water uses during the day are. If you use your filter more frequently, it will need to be replaced in less than 6 months.
