Can a Zip HydroTap Arc Plus be installed on a kitchen island?

Yes.

One of the biggest advantages of the Zip HydroTap Arc Plus is that it doesn't have to be installed directly over your kitchen sink.

When paired with the appropriate Zip standalone font and drainage system, it can be positioned on a kitchen island, pantry, coffee station or dedicated drinks area.

This makes the Arc Plus particularly attractive when you're designing a new kitchen and want to keep your main sink area uncluttered.

Does the Zip Arc Plus replace my normal kitchen tap?

No – and this is an important difference when choosing your HydroTap.

The Arc Plus dispenses your filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water, but it does not provide your normal mains hot and cold water.

You therefore keep a separate kitchen mixer tap for washing up and everyday sink use.

Zip HydroTap Arc Plus vs Cube Plus – what's the difference?

The Arc Plus and Cube Plus offer the same concept of instant filtered drinking water, but the visible tap design is different.

The Arc Plus has Zip's distinctive curved swan-neck design, while the Cube Plus offers a more angular, architectural look.

For many homeowners, the choice therefore comes down to which shape works best with the rest of the kitchen, mixer tap and hardware.

Is the Zip HydroTap Arc Plus safe in a family kitchen?

The HydroTap has been designed with boiling-water safety in mind and includes features such as a boiling-water safety lock, boiling isolation and a cool-touch tap.

For families, these are particularly important features to consider when comparing a HydroTap with other boiling-water systems.

Does the Zip Arc Plus need a CO₂ cylinder?

Yes, if you want sparkling water.

The sparkling-water function requires a Zip CO₂ cylinder to carbonate the chilled filtered water.

Replacement CO₂ will therefore be one of the ongoing consumables to factor into ownership, alongside replacement water filters and any limescale filtration required for your water conditions.

Does a Zip HydroTap need a filter?

Yes. Your HydroTap uses a replaceable filter as part of its water filtration system.

For residential HydroTaps, the genuine Zip 0.2 micron home filter is product code 93701.

If you live in a hard-water area, additional limescale filtration may also be recommended to help protect the system.

Does the Zip HydroTap Arc Plus need servicing?

Like any premium boiling and chilled water system, a HydroTap benefits from regular filter changes and servicing.

Keeping on top of filters, CO₂ and servicing helps maintain water quality and keeps the system performing as intended.

How long does a Zip HydroTap last?

There isn't one fixed lifespan because this depends on water quality, usage, installation and maintenance.

What warranty does the Zip HydroTap Arc Plus have?

The residential Zip HydroTap is supplied with a 36-month comprehensive parts and labour warranty, with an additional 24-month boiling tank warranty, subject to Zip's warranty terms and conditions.

Can I Adjust The Temperature Of My Zip Hydrotap?

Yes! Zip Water HydroTaps do have adjustable temp control, the video here at 1min 13 secs has a handy guide on this in summary:
- Boiling can be set between 68°C and 99°C, whilst Chilled can be set 5°C-15°C. Sparkling levels can also be adjusted!

How often do I need to refill the CO2 canister/cylinder of my Zip Hydrotap for Home?

Usage:

CO2 Consumption:Each CO2 canister in a residential Zip HydroTap can carbonate up to 120 liters of sparkling water.

Usage:If you drink roughly one litre of sparkling water daily, a single CO2 canister might last around four months.

Individual Needs:If you drink less, the canister will last longer.

Low CO2 Indicator:The HydroTap's G5 command center can also notify you when the CO2 level is running low.

Q. Can ZIP engineers cut into the worktop?

A. Zip engineers can cut holes in worktops excluding Dekton, Marble and certain granite worktops - please enquire with our team if you require further details.

What's the minimum under counter /under sink installation space required?

Please check the technical guides attached for this unit. For the Zip G5 Command Centre, the unit itself measures approximately 339 mm wide × 483 mm deep × 333 mm high.

Taking into account the clearances shown in Zip’s installation diagram, we recommend allowing approximately: 439 mm wide × 483 mm deep × 535 mm high

You will then need additional space for: CO₂ cylinder: 104 mm diameter × 325 mm high. Only one cylinder needs to be accommodated upright at a time.

For hard water areas a Zip 95591 limescale filter is recommended: 87.4 mm diameter × 374 mm high.
