The Franke Mythos Water Hub 6-in-1 delivers six different water options from a single tap, each designed for everyday convenience.

• Boiling filtered water: Up to 98°C for tea, coffee and cooking.
• Chilled filtered water: Typically 4–6°C for refreshing drinking water.
• Sparkling filtered water: Typically 4–6°C, chilled before carbonation for crisp, long-lasting bubbles.
• Ambient filtered water: Usually 10–20°C, depending on the incoming mains water temperature.
• Standard hot water: Supplied by your home's existing hot water system.
• Standard cold water: Supplied directly from your mains cold water supply.

Because the system stores chilled, sparkling and boiling water separately, you receive instant water at the correct temperature without waiting for it to heat or cool.

How does the Franke Mythos Water Hub refrigeration system work?

The Franke Mythos Water Hub uses a compressor-based refrigeration system, similar to the technology found in a premium refrigerator, to keep filtered water chilled and ready to dispense instantly.

Instead of cooling water only when you request it, the unit continuously maintains a reserve of cold water in an insulated storage tank beneath the sink. When chilled or sparkling water is dispensed, fresh filtered mains water automatically enters the tank, where it is cooled back down to the set temperature.

This means you always have cold filtered water available without waiting for the system to cool each glass individually.

The refrigeration process works in four stages:

1. Water is filtered
Incoming mains water passes through the Franke filtration system to reduce chlorine, unwanted tastes, odours and other impurities.

2. Water is chilled
The filtered water enters a 2.2-litre refrigerated reservoir, where a compressor and refrigerant circuit cool it to approximately 4–6°C.

3. Sparkling water is carbonated
For sparkling water, the chilled water is transferred into a separate 2.8-litre carbonation chamber, where food-grade CO₂ is injected under pressure. Carbonating cold water creates finer bubbles and a longer-lasting sparkle.

4. The system automatically replenishes itself
As chilled or sparkling water is used, fresh filtered water replaces it. The refrigeration system automatically cools the replacement water, ensuring a continuous supply of chilled drinking water throughout the day.

Does the Mythos Water Hub keep running all the time?

No. The refrigeration system is thermostatically controlled and only operates when required.

Once the chilled water reaches its target temperature, the compressor switches off automatically. After periods of heavy use, it restarts to cool the replacement water, keeping energy consumption low while ensuring chilled and sparkling water are always available.

How quickly does the Franke Mythos Water Hub recover after use?

The Mythos Water Hub is designed for family use and recovers quickly after dispensing water.

• Chilled water recovery: Approximately 8 minutes
• Boiling water recovery: Approximately 15 minutes
